HRCM Applications
- Collection of oil products in water and on land
HRCM successfully absorbs a large amount of oil and oil-based products
in a 1:50 ratio in 1-5 seconds time. The full sorption is finished
after a few minutes. The sorbent can be used anywhere: in the sea,
water reservoirs, along coastlines, in wastewater treatment stations,
and for cleaning of soil near railways, gasoline stations, etc.
HRCM is spread over polluted areas until the oil contaminants are
fully bonded. After absorption the marshy mass is collected from
water surface by skimmers, nets (skim by hand), from land - mechanically,
pneumatically and in other possible ways. About 70-98% of collected
material can be later reclaimed. The sorbent maintains its properties
at temperatures from hundreds degrees above zero to -60 ?C below
zero. HRCM can be used as filling in production of booms, filters,
ecological packets, etc. Laboratory studies have shown that the
HRCM effectively eliminates ions of copper, chrome, iron, vanadium,
ammonium and also arsenic, sulphides, phosphates and nitrates from
industrial wastewater.
- Drinking water purification
HRCM is used in the production of high quality filters for ultimate
purification of water obtained from artesian bores and wells. Unprecedented
results have been shown during research trials, scientific tests
and industrial applications of HRCM based water-filtering systems.
- Industrial Air Pollution Control
HRCM is proven to be extremely effective (25-30 times better than
any known sorbent) in many Air Pollution Control applications ranging
from removal of poisonous chemicals (sarin, phosgene) to the capture
of post-combustion pollutants such as NOx and SOx.
- Fire protection and extinguishing of high intensity fires
HRCM can be used in open and closed spaces, on land and even on
the surface of water to extinguish fires originating in burning
oil, oil products and very high-temperature combustible materials.
- Medical applications
The laboratory tests conducted in several reputable medical research
labs have shown that HRCM can be used in medical applications for
very effective treatment of burns and suppurative wounds.
