AquaNano™ filters vs. Granular Activated
Carbon (GAC) based filters Most of the traditional
commercially available water purification systems use Granular Activated
Carbon (GAC) as a water filtration agent. The highest quality GAC
is produced from Virgin Coconut Shell.
A thorough comparison of the sorption capabilities of HRCM and Virgin
Coconut Shell 4x6 mesh Granular Activated Carbon (one of the finest
activated carbons available on the American market) has been performed
by Sierra Analytical Labs in California. The
official letter and the test results can be seen here.
The results presented in the table below show the far superior properties
of HRCM in comparison to the highest quality GAC. HRCM is more effective
than GAC by a factor of 100-400, removing from water the hazardous
substances listed below.
The results are expressed in the contaminant’s mass captured
by 1 gram of sorbent. The bigger the mass, the more effective the
sorbent in filtering the substance from the water .
