Bionomic Technologies Inc. (BionomicTech) is a Canadian company that holds an exclusive license to market and distribute AquaNano™ water purification products and technologies in the Americas. BionomicTech serves both industrial and consumer markets. We provide our customers with unique solutions based on the latest advances in nanotechnology. Our High Reactivity Carbon Mixture (HRCM) is a unique nano-carbon sorbent that demonstrates unparalleled abilities in a wide range of environmental applications. History The products and technologies which BionomicTech offers are the result of many decades of research and are based on a number of fundamental findings starting from the discovery of fullerene (the polyhedron carbon molecule) in 1985. This discovery triggered hundreds of research programs all over the world. In 1996 a Russian academician Viktor Petrik discovered a unique method of cold autocatalytic decomposition of graphite that resulted in the creation of carbon-based nano-materials with unique properties and abilities. By 2001 this newly discovered method was scaled up and converted into a cost-effective industrial process for the production of High Reactivity Carbon Mixture (HRCM). Since 2001 HRCM has been successfully used in many environmental applications, such as oil spill collection, extinguishment of high intensity fires, water purification, air pollution control as well as in medical applications. As a sorbent and water filtration agent HRCM significantly exceeds the capabilities of all other known water purification systems! Over the past decade the unique capabilities of HRCM-based products and technologies have received wide recognition in Northern Europe, in the countries of the Baltic Sea Basin and in Russia. The limited volume of HRCM production in 2001-2007 was sufficient to support only that regional market. In 2007 the construction of a high capacity state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for HRCM-based water purification systems was completed, paving the way for the introduction of these products and technologies to the world markets including the Americas. In the Americas HRCM-based water purification products are being marketed under the AquaNano™ trademark.
